NASS

Hurry up and wait folks! It is the mantra of this forum and probably of your future military careers.

Please also remember that NASS is all about recruiting. They are trying to cast a wide net for applicants and look especially to under represented areas. So while your stats may be fantastic, if you live in N.Va. and don't get NASS don't lose hope. Also only about 30% of the people who get appointments every year attend NASS. If you don't get it, just keep on working to improve your total package.

Best of luck!

for those accepted, did you have a choice of session?....reason I ask is my DS got accepted to west point SLE but would like to try and attend both SLE and NASS

I remember SPECIFICALLY choosing which sessions I could attend... It's worded like, "Please indicate which sessions you can definitely attend." and then you choose YES or NO for each session...

It did ask during the application, but I selected every session and then got told which one I would be in

Got accepted for session 2!

PM me if you'll be in Session 3 and want to meet! (sounds weird, but it's always good to know SOMEBODY when you show up)

Accepted for Session 1, paid and filled out forms. Do we receive confirmation for a spot or is it just implied that once we pay and give forms we are going? Thanks.

I never got one but I saved a copy of the receipt and the forms

Since I never got a confirmation email should I call or email USNA

I would just to make sure they have you registered. All the information in the confirmation email was the same as the info in the initial acceptance email

Anyone know what email to write to for changing sessions? Something came up and even though I can go to session 2, it would be better if I could change to session 1...

DS had to do this last year. While I don't know the email I know that they had to cancel him from the session he was scheduled for and put him on the LIST for the other session. I was told it was likely but not definite that he would get it. He didn't have a choice so we cancelled the session and he was able to get off the LIST for the other session. So beware....switching wasn't as easy as we thought.
