I received something in the mail about this and they're asking me to join. The letter says that they have a lot of scholarships and such. Does anyone know if it's truly worth being apart of?
 
Check it out very carefully. If they want money up front check it out even more carefully. As Seniors you will get a lot of Scam Mail. Be careful. Check with your Adviser. You will get a lot of mail and email asking you to post your name and resume on a lot of sites (usually for a fee). Again, be careful and check with your adviser.
 
From what I've seen so far, the NSHSS is nothing more then a scam. You pay them a fee.. and that's really all that happens.
 
Sounds a lot like "Who's Who Among American High School Students" that circulated in the 70s. Pass on it. Just a way to lighten your wallet.

When you are a college senior, you'll get the same type of mail again, but this time it will be "honor societies".
