Naval Academy Prep School under fire

Also agree with BRUNO. A great Moderator who only steps in when necessary. Sometimes with the BIG FOOT, beware.

HE IS RELEASED! And allowed to step on CG guys at any time. Six Feet Tall and able to walk to shore when the boat sinks! I thought that was the first requirement for CGA. Love the "EAGLE" though, a great and beautiful ship. Moved to new moorings and can't see from I-95. What a shame.

Very true, we've been walking ashore 160 years longer than the AF has existed.

Last year my son was playing in a lax tournament at one of the HS near Annapolis (I forget the nameof the school). One of the Army Lax coaches approached my son's coach to ask about him. My son's coach let him know that he already was accepted to USNA and USAFA. The coach said too bad because they could not justify sending him to the prep school if he already had been accepted to any of the other academies.
Also, in the lax circles, everyone knows that Navy send the kids to the prep school for an extra year of practice.

One potential fix would be to eliminate the sports specific training that occurs (and associated coaches) and do only fitness stuff getting them ready for plebe summer/year. Is that not, after all, an intregal part of the stated mission:

The mission of the Naval Academy Preparatory School is to prepare selected candidates morally, mentally, and physically, with emphasis on strengthening the academic foundation of individual candidates for officer accession through the U.S. Naval Academy.

Let a MOC suggest it and watch the gyrations of the Navy - :yllol:

I could not agree with you more.
