Hello, I'm a senior in HS and a candidate for class of 2015.
I am filling out a DODMERB form about my medical history and there is a question if I ever tried alcohol.
I have never "drank" it, but I have taken a couple sips of champagne each New Years.
    Is this even worth mentioning?

My advise is no. I understand you are suppose to answer 100% truthfully. However, I think that there are things in everyone's life that are no longer important and would cause you many unnecessary problems and waivers. For example, how many people who play football occasionally get hit and have their "bell rung". 100% of players. Well that is a slight concussion that might cause an additional test and a waiver.
In my view, if you can honestly say that this was an insignificant
event that causes you no problems, then I would not report it.

AVT - "Have you ever or do you now USE any of the following = alcohol?" Given your statement as it relates to the highlighted word above, the answer is no:thumb:

Laxfan - cut and paste your posting; provide full name and last 4 SSN; and send to me at Larry.Mullen@dodmerb.tma.osd.mil. I will put your posting in our files. My answer was pretty clear and stands as written:thumb:

Wow, I had the same exact question when I did the form, but interpreted how Larry did above, so I answered No. Good call

By the way, I'm curious - who is the Director of DoDMERB?

Unrelated, but I just have to ask this Larry, simply because it's the little things I notice. How come when you post asking people to contact you that your entire post is grammatically correct and spot on with spelling, yet you use "U" when you say you can assist people better from your email?

Come on, I'm sure at least one person here is thinking the same thing [IMG] (< yeah that's right, I went and found my own emotion just for this post )

I had a history teacher this past year who as part of his email for us to get in contact with him had "mystery." I was dead set on trying to figure it out, and he wouldn't answer the question (I was probably the only one to ever really care to question it too). Finally I figured it out. His last name starts with an E....Mr. E.

Now, sir who could probably still somehow medically disqualify me :)thumb:) is it one of those clever riddle things, or are you just secretly trying to be an annoying teenager who takes the time to write improperly in text messages, emails, and IMs instead of writing it right in just as much time or quicker?

    Deffinition of USE

I used to drink as a young adult but was never a huge drinker then and I don't drink at all now. Would this be negligable cause from the questionaire it sounded like it was trying to ask if I was a big lush. I said yes but as a young adult but not anymore. Was this something I shoulda just said "no" to?

L.E. Mullins, I wrote an email about something else so my info should be provided.
