I had that same question too; an MSIV in my Bn told me that your package will be sent in with the following year's commissioning group (ie: if you are Mission Set 17, your package will be sent in with Mission Set 18).

Hello I am a MSIII and leaving for CST this summer. What I am worried about is the Cultural Awareness points. I did my language requirements in High School and did not/ cannot get a CULP slot. Is there any other way to get those points?

Don't worry that you did not attend CULP. CULP is listed under Extra Training for the OML, not Cultural Awareness, I know it seems odd but CULP does not give you any Cultural Awareness points.

Unless you have taken language or culture classes during college that meet the requirements, you would not be receiving any points. Since you are a current MS3 there won't really be any more opportunities for you to receive any Cultural awareness points before you attend CLC this summer.

I have heard that foreign military awards, such as the GAFB, Schützenshnur, or foreign jump wings will likely count for Cultural Awareness points, and these are often earned on CULP missions.

My son had the GAFB, he received no Cultural Awareness points for it for this years accessions. Maybe they're changing that for next year with the new system. Hard to keep up with all the changes.

@Ryan Ray, note that the original post in this thread contains outdated LDAC info.

Do you guys know what DA Form I would need to fill out to request a GAFB slot?

That's something you'll have to work out with your Cadre. The GAFB is not a set school that you apply to attend. This course is usually done at the battalion level.
