new BCG?

Last year there was a mention of updating the old BCG goggles that are issued to basics that need prescription eyeglasses. Haven't gotten any info regarding these. Does anyone know? How soon after BCT can I use contacts?
 
My DD (2014) starting wearing her contacts again right before Acceptance day in 2010. Much of this depends on if they can get to the items they brought with them on I-day. As I recall, she place a pair in the ziplock bag she turned her phone in to the cadre.
 
Any info on prescription glasses?
I thought eyeglass prescription had to be sent to the academy before I-day?
Thanks for any advice.
