New Commandant at West Point

I truly believe that nearly all of the Class of 2016 would have preferred to have a more challenging Beast, but let's not go so far as to say that Beast was "easy" - I doubt many of the new cadets would have chartacterized Beast as "easy", but many would say it was easier than they had expected it to be (and were disappointed that it was). I do think it's unfair to hold it against the Class of 2016 (or the Cadre for that matter) when they had absolutely nothing to do with determining how demanding their Beast experience was.

A lot of my friends are enjoying the new commandant giving them PMI all week and letting them wear ACUs all week as well lol

What's pmi

PM (afternoon) Inspection. It's pretty much the lowest standard your room can be in. I am not sure what it is at USMA compared to what we had at USMAPS, but let's just say that they don't have to worry too much about keeping their room in tip top shape....I mean it still has to be clean tho.

In PMI, your room has to be almost in AMI (Morning) Inspection standards. You'll learn what it is when you get here.

The standard for PMI is the same as AMI, but you can close your door/wardrobe and can sleep. It normally means you won't be expected that day and can enjoy a morning nap if you have class off.
