Colonel Stephen E. Liszewski, USMC was announced as the next Commandant of Midshipmen in an email from the Supe to the Brigade today. The turnover is apparently going to happen shortly after graduation of this year.
 
Bio

"Colonel Stephen E. Liszewski, U.S. Marine Corps, most recently commanded the 11th Marine Regiment based at Camp Pendleton, California. Composed of over three thousand Marines and sailors, the 11th Marine Regiment provided artillery support and fire support personnel to Marine forces in Afghanistan. Colonel Liszewski also commanded an artillery battalion in Iraq. His previous tours include command and staff assignments in the United States and overseas from the platoon level up to service on the Joint Staff in Washington, DC. He has extensive experience in operations and planning in the Middle East and Pacific regions. Colonel Liszewski has deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan and is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Naval War College, and the University of Canberra."

He is a great leader and will be an asset to the Academy. I had the privilege of working with him at 11th Marines. His family is fantastic!
