Anyone hear anything?

January instead of October/November?
By invitation?

(By putting this as a question, I am seeking knowledge, not spreading rumors over the internets. This way the ChiCom government can't harvest my organs.)

Son hasn't said anything about this yet, but in the Army anything is possible.

From reading the results at Sandhurst, I bet Central Washington University would get the first invite, they did an incredible job this year. Not my son's school but it was nice to see a small school/battalion do so well.

Every Brigade does their Ranger Challenge differently. I very well could be that your Brigade is thinking about January. I would be very surprised if 2nd Brigade (Northeast) could pull that off. I would also contend that if a Brigade were to do that they would be impacting on holiday break and putting more stress on the participants academics. Although RC is our varsity sport, it doesn't get you anything but a nice certificate, some bragging rights, and some OML juice.

1st Brigade, which makes up the SMCs, had Ranger Challenge which I think they call Bold Leader Challenge, moved from November to February this past year. It seems to be as was said slightly different in each ROTC Brigade. It has changes from year to year. It's a great way to get in shape with many training opportunities. It is a plus for OML. Also a great way to develop connections and experience with the ROTC department. It is a great priviledge. BTW congrats to Citadel for placing two teams this year 1st and 4th.

3rd Brigade had a first set of RC Challenges during October this last year and then had a Brigade RC Competition this April for those schools who won their other divisions.
