My daughter only has a USNA nom from Senator Lautenberg. Our Congressman (LoBiondo) sent her a "we don't duplicate nominations" letter. I wish he had gone ahead and given her a nom but I guess you only need one.

Spoke to the SA rep today from Lautenberg's office. He stated that they do all they can NOT to duplicate noms. They work with most congressman in NJ to find out who has noms and they eliminate those that got noms from the list. He said some do get nominations from them and congressman but it is usually because the congressman came out with their list later or they didn't coordinate with Lautenberg. He said that they maintain this policy to get as many people nominated as possible from the state of NJ.

In my case he said that my son did extremely well and would have been nominated if the congressman had not already provided it back in December.

Also FYI, the letters regarding the noms got delayed due to weather but are going out soon.

Anyway, I thought that was interesting information.

Have you received letters yet from Lautenberg or Menendez offices?
 
Nope. Remember...Menendez' office said that they do NOT send out letters of rejection. Lautenberg's office said that they got backed up sending them out because of the storm last week. I suspect that we will get our letters from the Lautenberg office this week for sure. Although, I did receive the AF ROTC letter today.

Can you do me a favor? ......when you get a letter from Lautenberg's office, please make a posting.......and I will reciprocate......It will be interesting to see if his office comes through TX
 
Oddly, my son got a letter today from Lautenberg informing him of nomination to USMMA (letter of appointment came yesterday).

Almost seems like the cart came before the horse except that he already had noms from Menendez and Congressman Lance.

Either way, three noms is certainly an honor.

Certainly is! Congratulations! I can't imagine what it feels like not to have to wait any longer for the appointment...must be a great feeling....relish it.
 
Son's letter from Senator Lautenberg was in yesterday's mail as well!
