New Orientation - Sign Up

I have been reading the forums on this site for about a year now, so I thought this would be a good time to make an account and give my input. I am a candidate with two nominations, but should I be accpeted to the Academy I would definately want to attend this makeshift orientation. I was dissapointed to learn that orientation was canceled, so I was very happy to see someone took the initiative to make this happen.

I will definitely try to remember that when creating the schedule.

I would like everyone to remember, the date is not at all set in stone, I just put a date out there to see what people would say as conflicts (things that I wouldn't know or had forgotten).

I may be interested. I've already accepted my appointment, and had attend the Summer Seminar last year, but I'll take any chance to visit :smile:It all depends on airfare and hotel for me though, especially for my grandmother too. Thanks for taking this on!
 
I'm same as southern falcon, went to summer seminar and accepted the appointment. I'd love to go for fun one more time if I get the chance.
 
I checked with my DS and if he is blessed to receive an appointment then he is a "go" for the orientation (plus me makes 2).
 
Can appointee's visit the academy even if there is no scheduled event for them and shadow a cadet?
 
Yes I'm going next Friday, and have been before, you just can't stay over night. Schedule it through the tours office, found on the academy website. Theyll give you all the info you need. If this orientation goes through though, I'd wait for that, I have a feeling it will be much better.
 
Orientation class of 2015

This is the first we have heard. We would be very interested in attending an orientation. The appointment has been offered and accepted. My daughter couldn't make summer seminar, we did have an informal tour last year but would make the time to attend again with actual appointees.

Please let me know the dates and if we can be of any assistance from the parent side.

Hey all, sorry I haven't given you guys an update. It has been real busy with 40 days and I will probably not be able to do much more until after recognition.

Good luck with Recognition Brian. I know I have not heard nearly as much from my son in the past few weeks as I did prior to the countdown of days.

Seriously; great job Brian. You got a few days left, then spring break. Remember the "Chronology" of a cadet. You know what stage you're at. You're going to do fine. Congrats to you. And all the others. mike....
 
lol, hey, at least I would have 2 months of being recognized before I had to do it all over again. Honestly, I would probably have a blast doing basic again (not that I want to), but jumping out of planes sounds like a blast too.

Hey I would love to attend this make shift orientation. My dad and I would be willing to come, just would need a date to make the arrangements and hotel where everyone would stay at. Thanks for doing this, I was sad to hear orientation was canceled. Thanks Brian!!
 
Are there any updates on the orientation? I received my appointment a few days ago and would really have for this to happen.
 
Hey all, I was unable to receive any support from admissions. I will try hard for next year, but I can't get the support I need this year. If people still want to try and get out here maybe you all could pick a weekend and get together, but I don't have the permission to do anything official.
