I have recently applied to the USNA and my SAT scores are average (1260). Does anyone who has been accepted already know of the SAT scores you applied with?

I am confused on your question. Both SAT tests (old and new) are used for admissions....so I am not sure why it matters whether a candidate took the old or new? I also might not be understanding your exact question?

Sounds like OP wants to compare their stats to those already appointed (i.e. chance me). Getting an appointment involves a lot more then just ACT/SAT scores.

I have a friend who got accepted with a Presidential nomination with the same score as me. (1470)

I received a letter of assurance with an SAT score of 1270 and ACT of 29. I'm not sure which was more influential, but hopefully that can give you an idea.

Admission decisions are made on MANY inputs, not just one. Relating one's record to another candidates is like comparing apples and oranges. WHY Candidate A is appointed may not necessarily be WHY Candidate B was.

Absolutely! DS #1 had a 36 and didn't get an appointment. There are many many more factors that go into it. And, often times, at the end of the day, the stack your file is in, is just too big and there just aren't enough slots.

All you can do is submit the absolute best packet you can, prepare for plans B-Z and pray. But the one thing that hardly ever works is trying to figure out the magic formula that is admissions, and comparing one thing, like SAT scores, will not ease any worries, it will only make you crazier! Good luck!
