I have studied and strived for the service academies since the seventh grade. So I am well aware of the sacrifices and hard work that's required. If any of you guys can comment and give feedback, that would truly be appreciated. Thanks!

you plan to get a 27? Being #1 in your class, I would shoot for way higher. It's a decent score, but it's not going to WOW the academies.. Also, get some leadership ASAP. I noticed all your EC's said member and I understand that you're a soph, but try. Eagle Scout is great if you can, leadership in JROTC, or if that's not possible..then do boys state! It counts for a lot! (offered at end of junior year through your school)

The PLAN score is the practice ACT. It isn't what I hope to get; I am shooting for at least a 30 on it next year. As far as leadership my town doesn't offer JROTC or CAP, it's too late for the Eagle Scout, but I hope to become a captain on the football team next year, and gain a leadership position in Key Club and Youth United Way if that helps.

Well you seem pretty well-off.

But as WPH2015 stated, try to get Leadership positions ASAP. West Point is a leadership institute... You must show you got potential.

If anything, let me know, I'll do my best to help you out.

I have leadership experiences, so if you plan on, say, creating a new club or social program, talk to me and I'll try to help you out.

Unless you are a really old sophomore I don't think it's too late for eagle, you only need two years if memory serves (I am the scout advisor for my church, my job is basically helping everyone get their eagle)

Look around for a scout troop, the Mormons almost always have one at their church and they are usually really good about advancement and fun.

It takes about a year to get from general scout through first class (depending on how fast you work, the first few ranks aren't that hard) then another year or so to get Eagle. You just need to find a good scout troop and tell the scoutmaster that you really want to get Eagle
