Tough break for the Skins This knee collapse was painful to watch. Shanahan should have pulled him earlier when it was apparent that RGIII was hurting. Hope that it isn't a career long issue for Griffin.[IMG]

Vikings also had a rough time with basically no QB for their game with the Packers. Next week should be fun- Texans in rematch aganst Pats (it was a beat down 4 weeks ago but things often are different in playoffs)- and 49er Rematch against Packers- 49ers won the first time around, but GB looked pretty tough yesterday. Denver & Baltimore-I'm Picking Peyton Manning. Seattle & Atlanta? You pickem! My crystal ball- New England ,Denver,SF and Seattle come out on top next weekend.

I hear you about RGIII. If it is just the LCL, it shouldn't be as bad as if other ligaments were damaged when it gave out (assuming here that it is a re-injury of the earlier occurring LCL sprain). I suspect he will start next season with the brace (not that it seemed to help here). And I suspect the read-option will be minimized if not eliminated from the playbook next year as well just to minimize the risk.

I don't have him in my keeper fantasy league, although I have Morris whose productivity will probably be hurt by Griffin's limitations.

I also agree with your picks for next weekend.

    RG3 Injury

Ever notice that the broadcasters have a real need to show the replay of an injury at every possible angle over and over. Its tough to watch. The worst I saw was Taylor's hit that broke Theisman's leg back in the 80s. They showed that hit over and over why they were tending to Theisman on the field. Of course the New York Post the next day had a full page blow up of the leg fracture on the back page.

I hope RG3 is ok, he is a good kid.

    100% agree with both thoughts.

I am amazed after all these years, it seems they keep replaying Theisman's injury at least once a year when talking about the most serious of injuries.

I'm rooting for RG3 as well because like many of this year's young stars, he is a good person who works his craft hard and does the right things.

I get so sick of seeing the stories of those who end up on the police blotter.

What was the score of the Steelers game yesterday?

    Oh, that's right. Nevermind.

Same "Final 4" AFC teams as last year - first time that has ever happened.

Certainly a collection of good football games this weekend- it was action up to the wire in both the Bal/Denver and Atlanta/Seattle games (what the heck was Pete Carrol doing with a late TimeOut which allowed the Atlanta kicker a range finder?! And though the football commentators are all blabbering about Manning not winning the playoff games- he delivered 35 points! That loss wasn't him- they can thank the defense. How do you give up a bomb like that in a prevent defense?) Though my crystal ball was a little cloudly- my two main teams: Pats and 'Niners are still alive and I predict we will see them in New Orleans- though Ray Lewis will be working hard to prove me wrong.

I know in football you can't point to one single thing but why the hell did they have Manning take a knee with 30 seconds in regulation with two time outs left?!?! I yelled so loud at my tv that they heard me in the stadium!

Actually only 21. They had 2 kick returns for TDs.

I watching the Broncos game in the PX after drill and I almost had an aneurysm watching the last part of the game. I am a die-hard fan originally from Denver and literally had to step out so I didn't throw a fit in front of everyone!

    Problems with the game:

    1. Champ Bailey is too old to play CB, he got burned so many times it's not even funny

    2. Rahim Moore should be cut, I know everyone makes mistakes but if you can't make a junior high safety play as a prevent man then the NFL is not for you.
The blunder was just unacceptable especially in that circumstance.

    3. Fox's play calling was so conservative at the end it seems like he wanted to lose. 3rd and 8 with 1:30ish on the clock and the Ravens have no time outs and he runs the ball giving the ravens another shot if they don't get the first down. You have one of the best QBs of all time and you don't trust him to seal the deal with a 8 yard first down and decide to risk it with Flacco using his cannon arm? Don't get me started on :31 seconds and 2 time outs then kneeling the ball at the end of regulation...

    4. The Broncos abysmal pass rush and secondary play

    5. Manning takes a share of the blame for his rookie INT at the end of overtime and various turnovers throughout the game.

    6. Prater really? Kicking the dirt before you hit the ball?

Everything that could go wrong did that game. Good job Trindon Holiday for stepping it up on special teams. I know everyone says it but that officiating was downright terrible throughout parts of the game...

He was trying to ice the kicker because the official apparently said before the game that if a TO was called then the kicker could not have a free kick (whistle is blown for a TO but kicker kicks it anyway). Well he got his free kick and missed. Its been proven that icing a kicker doesn't work so I don't know why he did it but you can't fault him. If the kick was made and a TO was called people would be praising him. It was a risk which carries more respect with me than what John Fox displayed.

I thought the Broncos had that game until that throw from Flacco which made me fall of my chair in rage! Then the kneel I couldn't even stand to see, what was the coach thinking? Two timeouts and everything? Manning and helm who could maybe set it up for a long FG at the worst? No comment..

As for that Seattle, Atlanta game that was great to watch! That timeout though I don't know what he was thinking..it's been proved it hasn't worked. My prediction? Ravens over the Pats just because Ravens faced fierced competition from Denver and I think come in better prepared than the Pats who completely dominated Houston..San Fran over Atlanta, while dominant Atlanta has been edging out teams for the longest. With Kap running for more yards than some RB's? I have to give it to the 49ers.

It's going to be a brother vs brother clash at the Super Bowl, any bets?

As I stated above, the Broncos game turned out to be pathetic and I don't even want to talk about it any more :frown:. However with that being said my bet is on the Ravens. They just battered the two top seeded AFC teams (which IMO were stronger than the NFC) and seem to have no fear for any opponent especially with Ray Lewis at the helm.
