NMMI Parent Group?

Is there a Facebook page or group on this forum for NMMI prep parents? (I know the cadets have one)My son is the youngest of 4 to go to one of the service academies, even still NMMI is a new experience for us! How fortunate for our sons/daughters to have 40 others to go through this next year together and then straight into USMMA next summer! The transition should be pretty smooth. You can be certain USMMA will give them a world of opportunities and experiences they cannot get anywhere else! It is academically tough, and these USMMA preps will need each other over the next 5 years & develop lifelong friendships! We are very excited about adventure and experiences the future holds for all these preps!

I have not seen or heard of one.

I was hoping there would be one. We are from NY, have not visited NMMI, and will be sending our son down alone. We realized today that we don't even know the situation for "boarding". Can anyone tell me if the boys have rooms ...are they doubles, trlples, quads? What about bathrooms? Are the bathrooms in their room or dormitory hall bathrooms? Will they need shower caddies for their toiletries?

I'm so excited for my baby, but also very nervous!

I believe their rooms are doubles with not sure about bathrooms. I will be calling NMMI today to get a few more questions answered. I mailed out a box with items on the 'list' of stuff needed. I figure whatever else they need (cleaning supplies,ect) they can get at the cadet store. We are very excited also! If there is not a FB group for this years USMMA prep parents, then I might just start one. Our cadets/midshipmen will be together for the next 5 years, so it would be nice to connect with the other parents. We all have questions that others maybe able to answer. Enjoy the next few weeks with your son! They are getting ready for an exciting adventure!

"2015 Parents of USMMA Preps at NMMI"
This is the title of the FB page for parents of this year's preps at NMMI. My son is a prep for USNA but there are only 5 of those young people, about 5 from USAFA and about 40 for USMMA. The USMMA parents have graciously let us join their group. We have already shared pictures, info, struggles. Join us! It is a closed group so put in a request when you find it.
