I have not been able to receive a nomination for WP. Is it impossible for me to get appointed anymore?

I think it is too late. Did you apply for a Vice-Presidential nomination?

Begin seeking nominations in the spring of your junior year, or as soon as you apply to West Point. Do not delay! The nomination deadlines vary, but they are deadlines, not suggested or preferred dates. If you miss a deadline, there are no exceptions. Applicants must complete the online VP nomination application during the application period of March 1 to January 31 preceding the year of entrance to the academy. Don’t take a chance on missing a deadline. Start early!

No....not impossible but it is unlikely. There are some nominations that are not awarded by Congress, but there are not many.

All nomination applications have to be in by 31 JAN regardless of source unfortunately.

It seems that we are interpreting the OP's question differently. I read it to mean he has not received any nominations yet, not that he has not applied to any.

Gotcha. He would have heard from any non-congressional nomination sources by now.

Would Supe's Noms have gone out by now? I suppose that would leave a possibility, albeit rare.

Actually I think he would have heard from any Congressional nomination by now. Not sure of when the last of the non-Congressional noms will be issued.

I have applied for the VP nomination, but from what I have heard, those are rare to get. I haven't received any nomination from my congressmen/senators for WP. I have received a nomination from my senator for USNA and have been appointed to the naval academy. I wanted to keep my options open, but now it looks like I will be heading to Annapolis. Thanks everyone for their info

If the USMA is your preference over the USNA, it can't hurt to call the SA rep at the Senator's office that gave you your nomination to the USNA. Ask them if it is possible to receive a nom to USMA instead. The answer is probably not, but it can't hurt to ask. They may know of someone who received a nom to the USMA that really wants to attend USNA. Most MOC offices do talk to each other when it comes to SA noms. Of course if the USNA is your preference then just ignore everything I posted.

I'm almost positive that it is way too late for this. I believe that all nomination deadlines were Janurary 31. Of course, I may be wrong.

That's too bad, as a nomination is required. It gives West Point the legal authority to tender an appointment.

No, not impossible. As posted above there are Supe noms that theoretically can be offered up to R-Day.

But I wouldn't hold my breath, they are usually reserved for recruited athletes and URMs to shape the class demographics.

You are probably correct. It is very late in the process. However, it couldn't hurt to ask.
