It was my understanding that the Nov board results were to be released Dec 11th. It seems they were not, because usually this forum would blow up about it. Does anyone know when they will notify the scholarship winners from that last board?

Has anyone seen anything from the Dec 11th probable posting date on their portal?

I haven't seen anyone yet who has received a scholarship from the November boards

The column heading does say probable date. Let's not get our knickers in a wad. It's always possible that folks have heard but they do not participate in these forums.

Been knicker wadding since early October! Older son was notified on December 7, 2012 and his application was completed in October of that year.

Current HS Senior had application complete in August, mirror image GPA, EC's, and curriculum of his older brother at same school.

He also has better test scores and was voted captain of Varsity Swim team.

Has the environment changed that much in three years?

Understood on the word probable, never had that "knickers in a wad feeling." Just wanted to put the question out, thanks!

Why does Navy have so many board dates and Army only 3?
Because that's the way it is. Who knows why? One thing it buys Navy is that each board is probably shorter in time since they aren't picking so many winners at once. Army seems a little more organized.

Will we be getting a phone call, email, or changed status first as our way of knowing our status updates? Also, if it's a phone call would it be from our recruiter or from the office in Pensacola, FL?

It perhaps depends on who shows the most initiative but you will hear via one of those methods. Keep in mind you might not hear anything until mid-April. DS got a thanks but no thanks email and letter in mid-April. Fortunately plan B was in place and we had plenty of time to execute. He participated in NROTC anyway and won a scholarship that kicked in the second semester of his sophomore year. So.... keep working those alternate plans while you wait. Having been there I know it's hard but there is really nothing else to do.

Oh yeah, get that FAFSA completed as early after the first of the year as you can - you can perhaps turn up funds that way. There are also other college scholarships you can pursue. Leave no stone unturned. DS won a scholarship from his #1 college which made his tuition just a couple thousand more than if he went in state. He made up that difference with student loans which I felt wasn't too onerous and kept him having some skin in the game. Everything worked out well in the end.

email and then status change...may come at same time. DS received email first.

I think the website is down, it won't load or even get to the login page for NROTC...Do you think it's down or is it my own computer?
