I hope this is the correct forum for this question.

Yesterday I got a letter in the mail from my Senator's office stating that he had nominated me for West Point so I went and checked on my candidate portal and, along with my nomination from my congressman, there were three nominations listed instead of just two. And the two that were added yesterday are exactly identical. Just wondering if that's a mistake or what?

My son has the same issue. He has received a USMA nomination from a Congressman and one Senator. Yet the senator nomination is listed twice in the portal. The Congressman nomination, which was received three weeks ago, still doesn't show up at all.

    Can anyone explain this?

It was explained to me (OH senator) that the senator had two slots available this year and he submitted the same slate for both slots, hence the double nomination.

No it's not two principal noms. Just a competitive slate listed twice.
