nomination question

2011's Mom - How then can a MOC possibly explain not filling a slate and not giving a nomination to a candidate with an LOA? Or a candidate who is already triple qualified?

While some MOC's and their staffs have a good grasp of academy admissions, others feel compelled to game the system.

In the above example, with a candidate who applied to three academies and a MOC who has room on his slate for nominations for this candidate but stubbornly refuses to offer a nomination to more than one academy. There is no good reason for it and it is truly bizarre.

While some MOC's may have a good track record of appointing candidates who win appointments and graduate, I think this is more of a function of the geography - a highly competitive area with a strong military presence - than the MOC himself.
