On the USNA application page, under the 'Nominations' section, if there is a nomination source in the list, in this case Presidential, with a corresponding 'Date Received' what exactly does this mean? Does it mean that the Academy has received my packet and is considering me for this nomination? Or does it mean that I have already been given this nomination?

As long as you meet the criteria, a Presidential nomination is automatic. If I recall correctly, over 800 will receive the nomination but by law, USNA can only charge 100 with that nomination. That is why they tell you to continue to seek nominations from as many sources as are available to you.
