    Hi all,

Is the online application able to display more than one nomination source? I currently have a presidential, but I also should be hearing from my MOC's by the end of the month. Will it display (if I happen to get an additional nomination) both, or just one. I am getting kind of worried because they said it would be announced mid-December (which technically hasn't quite passed), but I am wondering if it will display on my application, or will be notified by phone/email/mail (either way) of the nomination status. I guess I am just getting impatient to hear some word of a nomination, good or bad.

    Later,

    Brian

It will display on the application page. My son has presidential and Sen John Cornyn, TX. He has not heard anything from the representative yet...phone interview was Dec 12.

sometimes you find out by a phonecall from your congressman/senator or through email before it gets posted on the website. Crazy process!

    Help...

So you got a presidential nomination, Congrats. My only question is how do you get a presidential nomination. I'm under the understanding that all one would need to get this nomination would be to fill out a small application and send it to the presidents office/advisers. Is this what you did and, could you explain in detail what you had to do. Thanks. Also, I have a congressional nomination if you want some info or tips on that.

A presidential nom is incredibly simple to get, but whether or not you are eligible is out of your hands. If one (or both) of your parents was in any branch of the military for at least eight years (or died in the service, and a couple other exceptions), THEN, and only then, are you eligible for the nomination. If you meet that requirement, you send a letter in to admissions with the requested information on your parent, et voila! you have a nomination. To see the requirements and the requested information, you would have to go and look on the academy's website.
