Hello, I have a slight conundrum

I have an LOA in hand, so all I need is my nomination.

My MOC told me that I was guaranteed the nomination and was going to be the principal nominee. I thought I had everything in line. They told me to wait until after midterm elections to see the nomination appear on my portal as my MOC was running for a senate seat. The election ended and my MOC lost the senate seat and would be giving up the rep seat when the new congress came in. I inquired closer to Christmas break and heard nothing from them.

I called when the new congress came in to check if maybe my MOC was using a few days to shift the power over to the new congressman... the phone was disconnected.

I have a connection who's been helping me get in contact with the new congresswoman to see if he can transfer the nom. Can the new congresswoman nominate me, if not, can the old MOC still give me the nomination even though they are out of office?

The Army JROTC at my school is an honored unit and the battalion commander told me that if worst comes to worst he would let me join and give me the nom for that, but I would still like to see if I can get the MOC nom as that would mean giving up one of my periods on my schedule, I'll do it if I have to but I'd rather not give up my study period.

If you haven't already, call your AFA admissions counselor (I'm assuming you are talking about AFA based on your screen name). They may have received the slate from your MOC and its just not showing up yet on your status page.

Even if a MOC loses the election, he/she can still submit their slate. My son has nominations from a MOC who decided not to run for reelection and one who was defeated in the Nov. election.

Good luck.
