Nomination

    If one does not receive a nomination the naval academy are they immediately out of the game?

    Yes. A nomination is needed. By law.

    Pig, what about receiving a Supe's or VP nomination? Long shot, but still possible. Or do you think the Supe's go to people who were on a slate, but not selected off that slate?

    Just want to make sure the OP realizes they can apply for VP nom.....

    As stated, if you aren't nominated (there are various sources outside Congressional nominations, which some might be eligible for), you have absolutely no chance.

    VP is within everyone's ability to apply for.
    Superintendent nominations are VERY RARE and normally used only in extenuating circumstances. I believe it is around 1-2 nominations a year (the Supe can nominate up to 30 candidates), so this is a long shot.
