Does every state have principal nominations? I live in ME. What does my nomination mean if my nomination states : congress/senator 2?

Do you believe transferring from college hurts my chances at all? I've also been a Division 1 athlete.

Mine also says congress/senator 2. It has nothing to do with having a primary, but rather indicates which of your state's two senators you received a nom from. I believe the numbering is based on which senator released their slate first. (That last part is just speculation)

The number behind the senator's name indicates the seniority of the senator. The junior senator, i.e., the one that has been a senator for a shorter period of time, is the junior senator and has 2 behind the nom. Has nothing to do with when the slates were released.

The "Senator 1" and "Senator 2" designation has been debated in the past. DS had a nom from junior senator last year and had a "Senator 1" on his portal and that senator was the first to submit the list. It could be that for some States the "1" and the "2" do correspond to seniority but it's clearly not the case in all instances. I think the only definitive answer is the letter/email/phone call from the Senator/Senators board that gave the nom......

Don't get caught up if it says Senator 1 or Senator 2....it is a nomination.
Transferring from college does not hurt -- your transcript will matter more! Division I athlete is probably a good thing to help your ECAs and to show that you were doing more than academics at college.

DD's portal says Senator 2 but the email came from the most senior Senator. Therefore, I am pretty sure that the 1 or 2 designator is not related to seniority.
