Much is said about watching the noon formation. We will be leaving the Friday after I-Day later in the evening and if possible, we wanted to watch the noon formation. Anyone there that can better explain what to expect, how long it takes, where we can go to watch.

    Thanks!

It will likely start at around 11:55, when you will start to see the new Plebes 'chopping' to their company locations on Tecumseh Court and forming up. You can watch from Stribling Walk. It will probably last for 10 - 15 minutes given the newness of it all. Some words of caution - once they walk through the center doors of Bancroft after that last meeting with you after the Induction ceremoney, they are the Navy's to care for and shape into officers. Under no circumstances should you try to get your Plebe's attention - the detailers will find out who your Plebe is and DD/DS will pay the price. Also, if it is a very hot day, formation will be cancelled, but you may not realize it until noon when no one shows up for formation.

Just a word to the wise when you go to the induction ceremony have some energy bars or snacks for your plebe .When we got the 15mins with him after the ceremony he had not had a real chance to eat since he reported at 8am that morning. I was glad we had water and cookies and energy bars for him to wolf down
