Norwich Independant Battery Destroyed

The crossed sabres are pointing downward. Is the symbolism to mark the end of our involvement in the Middle East? http://www.ehow.com/facts_7642800_origin-symbol-crossed-swords-military.html

BTW, why does Jostens always place the letters N-O-R-W-I-C-H in the wrong orientation in their photos? In my avatar, the letters appear on the NU side. And in your avatar, they're on the class side. Neither is correct (the letters should actually be shifted 90 degrees, worn so the letters are in closer proximity to your heart).

The downward crossed sabers on the ring is for all those who died in combat protecting freedom. Like when we play Echo Taps on campus, we invert the sabers on our tunic.

And we dont expect Jostons to actually get the design right on paper, as long as its right on the ring. Along with that the motto being misspelled.
