So I have just been accepted into Norwich University. I am curious to hear about first hand experiences at Norwich and what life is like there. I am seriously considering this college and would love to get all the facts. I'm probably most curious about daily life and what your schedule is like as a Norwich Cadet

Thanks

Congrats, bob12550!

Norwich is a fine institution and just small enough that you don't get lost in the shuffle or feel like a number.

Not the most exciting town. But as I'm sure you are aware, your first several months at any SMC are going to find you pretty busy and fully engaged anyways.

Norwich also has some pretty special units/clubs in the corps that don't get a lot of press. Not sure what your interests are, but you might be surprised by how varied they are (eg Would you ever imagine there was a AF spec ops unit in the Green Mountains of Vermont?)

In any case, sure you will enjoy the overall experience should you decide to attend.

Congrats! I didn't attend Norwich, but I out of all the SMCs, the Marines I served with from Norwich were awesome. Out of all the grads I worked with from SMCs the Marines that attended Norwich were my favorite to work with. Made some great friends from this institution. Best of luck and I think it will prepare you well for any future.

Just to go off what MedB said, there are many unique opportunities that Norwich offers to you. For instance the special units such as: Rangers, Norwich Artillery Battery, Mountain Cold Weather Company, and Cavalry Troop. The Mountain Cold Weather Company at Norwich is very unique since it is the only one of its kind in the country. Since Norwich is nestled in the middle of the Green Mountains of Vermont it gives you so many outdoor opportunities to take advantage of.

Also, the AF spec ops unit was disbanded last year but is planning to be reorganized next semester

Norwich is a class act. Just Recieved signed holiday cards from coaches and athletes alike on two separate Holiday cards. :thumb::thumb::thumb:
