Good evening,
I received my TWE on Monday, 05 APR 10. I am disappointed but I am looking forward to compiling a MECEP package this year. I will obtain a commission from the Marine Corps one way or another. There are many opportunities afforded to enlisted Marines.
Now as for the individuals who are torn between enlisting first or applying for the Naval Academy, I highly suggest trying to obtain an appointment now, while you still have time before you turn 23. If you enlist, yes, you gain vast amounts of experience, but due to time constraints and serving our great nation, you may not be able to submit an application through your chain of command in a timely manner.
