Merry Christmas! I have a question, my DS is applying for academies, but also tried for AFROTC scholarship. He looked today and on the website and it says, "You have not been selected for a scholarship/ no re-board." Does this mean he won't be reviewed by the board again? We are a little confused as we thought he was a viable candidate and would at least get a couple of looks. Now he is questioning how well he thought the interview went. Pretty bummed at Christmas. As a side note, he did just get ACT scores that were better than previous ones. Should he resubmit those?
Thanks!

Not sure about rotc, so u do like that's done for this year, though students do get picked up for rotc scholarships during g their first semester.

For the academies, keep submitting your scores until the cutoff date.

If they stated he will not be reboarded it is over. Contact Maxwell and ask if the new ACT will allow him to be reboarded or if his file is officially closed.

The ACT for AFROTC is not super scored, so unless the overall score is better than the best sitting he had on record it isn't going to impact

AFROTC gives the majority of their scholarships to tech majors and that maybe why the didn't get a scholarship.

Keep updating your ACT for USAFA until Feb.

Thanks!

Thanks for the replies. He is majoring in engineering, and his composite score did come up one point which isn't much, but I guess the answer is always no unless we ask! He will contact Maxwell and see what he can find out. His math score went up quite a bit this time, but his English and Science came down so I guess it all balances out. I do think the new scores will help with the academy since they do superscore. Also, great to know they give some scholarships out freshmen year.
