Due to my magnet program at my high school, I am required to take 2 band classes each year. This prevents me from taking AP chemistry or physics. However, I'll be doing adv chemistry next year and then adv physics senior year (adv is the equivalent to honors in my school district). Will this affect my application? Hopefully I can make that up because Ill be taking AP English, social studies, and calculus classes. Thanks in advance

The more AP classes you can take (and do well in), the more competitive you are. We talk alot about STEM, but if you can't take those kinds of AP classes, there's not much you can do about it. Taking AP Calc is helpful.

Do well in anything you do though, that's important.

Good luck!
