After the academies have determined who they are going to offer appointments, do they notify the non-selected that they did not get selected? If the Naval Academy is on a rolling admissions, do they tend to fill their available slots a lot earlier than the Air Force? When does the Naval academy end their selection process?

USAFA is also on a rolling admission. Last year when I was applying the selection panel met about once a week, so I was told. And yes, Navy will send a "non-selection" letter if you do not make the cut.

As one who STILL has his letters of "...you're incredibly talented, a great candidate, etc...etc...BUT..."

Yes, you get a letter.... :frown:

I still have mine from USAFA/USMA/USNA/USCGA from 1978.
(and my appointments to USAFA/USNA/USMA from 1979)
