NROTC 4yr scholarship amount

Am I understanding this correctly? If daughter receives a 4yr NROTC scholarship it will cover the cost of tuition & fees regardless if she attends Texas A&M for 20,000 or Vanderbelt for 40,000 per year.
 
Yes, but......
she not only needs to be accepted but her scholarship needs to be awarded to that particular school.
So, say she applies to both and gets accepted to both. But the Navy awards her scholarship to TAMU..... she can try and get it switched to Vanderbilt but there are no guarantees.
 
suggestion and many will agree.....apply ROTC early and very important to apply to reach colleges early. Do not procrastinate with either application process. In our case scholarship was awarded to reach school and same day received rejection from reach school. Early decision from reach school allowed DS time to request and receive scholarship transfer to second choice school. Waiting to hear from reach school as a normal applicant would have put transferring scholarship in jeopardy, as second school ROTC class was full by early Feb.
