NROTC ANNUAL PHYSICAL CONDITION CERTIFICATE - Question

DS is a Marine Option scholarship recipient and just received a package of forms from his new unit including an NROTC ANNUAL PHYSICAL CONDITION CERTIFICATE. One question asks for the date of last HIV blood test. This wasn't included in the DODMERB exam.

Should DS get tested before reporting or will this occur after arrival?
 
DD is in NROTC and everyone in her unit was told to show up on the first day of class ready to hand in results of an HIV test which they were to get on their own this summer.
 
mgreen: Same thing happened to my DS years ago. I am sure he will be required to get one on his own before he reports but...

I recommend your DS contact his unit and ask them the question. Taking charge, asking leadership for clarity and showing initiative will become cornerstones of his training. Best to start early.
