NROTC Final Decisions - Late?

I have recently applied for the NROTC scholarship of the 2010/2011 selection year. I completed my application and had all necessary transcripts and information submitted by late September. I was also informed that I was submitted into the first round of selection boards for the fall. As of now I have heard no word of my decision let alone where I am in the process. In contacting my local recruiter he informed me that the selection board has been backed up due to an overflow of applications and has no idea when I would be able to hear back if I was denied or accepted. My SAT's are a combined 1800 and I am in the top 10% of my high school class. If anyone else is experiencing this problem, or could help clear the waters I would be greatly appreciative.

If you get rolled over they so not let you know. Some people have been getting rejection emails lately. If you have heard nothing you still have an outside shot.

Thanks, it seems as if that's the best outlook I can take right now. The whole situation seems very dicey.

Join the club..DS has had everything in and completed since July or August. No one has called so I guess he keeps going from board to board. He is anxious to make his school decision too. I guess its better than a rejection letter, but the waiting can be very long if you are qualified but not over the top in everything and not chosen in the first few rounds. Hang in there:smile:

I'm on the same boat, it's torturous not to know, but at least we still have a shot. Does anyone know if the application status website is updated?
