I need some advice.I received an appointment to USNA.I also received scholarship for NROTC to Villanova.Do the same rules apply for NROTC as they do for USNA.I hear you should have a backup plan in case you get injured or something like that that you should have plan B ready.Would NROTC be considered backup or do they go by the same rules as the academies.Thank you.

Not quite sure what you're asking but I'm assuming you're referring to turnbacks from USNA at IDay due to injury. In that case NROTC can serve as a backup as you have many weeks to heal from your injury and be ready for PT at your NROTC college.

A backup for that scenario doesn't make sense for NROTC. First, you're already at a civilian (or perhaps SMC) college anyway. Second, if you have a doctor's excuse you will not be required to PT initially. You would need to be able to complete the PFT by the end of the semester so you could contract and start the monies flowing, but there is time for that. So no, you do not need a backup for NROTC.

Thanks Kinmen-So,I should except the NROTC scholarship and have that in case I get a turn back from USNA on I day due to possible injury?
