Hey, I'm currently applying for an NROTC scholarship.

Ideally, I am interested in becoming a Navy Nuclear Engineer after my completion of college. Before becoming interested in the Nuclear program I set my intended major as "Material Engineering." Any suggestions for if there would be a major that would better prepare me, and if so, what would that be?

Thanks

Tier 1 Academic Majors

Aerospace, Aeronautical, Astronautical Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Naval Architecture & Marine/Naval Engineering
Nuclear Engineering
Ocean Engineering
Systems Engineering

I would most likely pick the one that is in bold. :)

ahh, thanks, I forgot to check the list of majors... would have been a good place to start. Thanks!

If you want to speak with some people already in the Navy Nuke program, check out their page on Facebook. They have a discussion board with officers that answer your questions. Hopefully this helps!
