NROTC Marine Option - February 2012 Board

Hello everyone! I have been following this site since I discovered it in late September and now have joined. I must say, this site is truly wonderful in putting me at ease as I wait with fellow scholarship prospects for word of acceptance.

Anyway, I recently had my NROTC Marine Option Interview. The OSO said that the board will be taking place next week. Can anyone else confirm this? It's just comforting to hear from more than one person.

And also, what does "DS" stand for?

^^^ can't confirm but DS stands for Dear Son.
 
I can speak to last year - the Marine Option board did meet 2nd week of February. Results were released on March 15th.

Thank you very much. My DS mystery is solved. As far when the board is, I have to keep reminding myself there's nothing I can do to affect when it will happen. So, I'll continue to patiently wait.
 
My OSO told me that the board meets Feb. 14, on Valentine's Day.:wink:
 
I was told to expect notification during the last week of February. That should apply to all applicants for the Marine Option NROTC scholarship.

My believe that the Board met last week. My DS received a call yesterday notifying him that he had been awarded the scholarship.
 
Would anyone happen to know when the NROTC side load scholarship board meets? I'm pretty sure they meet twice a year but have no idea on dates.
 
I spoke with someone at NSTC who said that she has received no notification yet of scholarship recipients for this board. The results will start coming in soon and will be posted online by the third week in March. This came directly from NSTC so I'm not sure how anyone would have heard anything yet.
