Just got news from my recruiter that I received a full national NROTC MO Scholarship. Keep checking your emails, the website, and look out for a phone call from your recruiter as this is how I was notified. Good luck all!

What were your general stats by the way? This is so that anybody doing research later down the road can see them and get an idea of the competitiveness. I also know that they consider the "whole" person which is key to getting the scholarship.

    Act- 32
    Gpa- 3.6 unweighted (top 20%)
Leadership/other- Cross country and track captain, njrotc master chief, drill teams and such, boys state, sea cadets, certified sailing instructor at a summer camp (working along side collage grads), national orienteer (navy jrotc), honor roll 6 semesters, pre-engineering program at my school, I've ran a couple of half marathons and triathlons and won a couple for my age group. I talked about community service a lot in my essays.
I did not go into DEP.
Honestly I thought my interviews went really bad.

    SAT: 2130
    ACT: 32
SAT & ACT Equivalent CR + Math Total: 1500
    AFQT: 97
3.48 Unweighted GPA at top public school in Massachusetts
PFT: 260 (was really unhappy with this, I have a background in weightlifting but never ran before)

I am a strong writer so I believe that my essay helped and I feel that one of my interviews went decently and the other one went very well. I am active in community service, church community, 3-Year Varsity Hockey Player, other mix of JV/Freshmen sports, and am CPR/First Aide/WSI certified. Good luck to all of those reading this in the future, stay on top of things, kill your PFT, and you'll be fine.

Congratulations! The run is always the hardest part, at least for my DS.

Congrats to all of you! Run, run and run some more. The fastest way to pick up PFT points are the pull ups. To increase your run points you have to make pretty decent jumps, but pull ups are 5 points each. If you don't own a pull up bar, get mom and dad to get you one for xmas. If you struggle with pull ups, research bands and get one. This will help in your workouts. Tons of apps, websites and books on how to increase them. Make sure you go to a complete dead hang and lock out. Your first PFT they will be sticklers on form. Good luck to all!

From NC and still waiting to hear back.... sounds like it could be before the end of the week? Do you guys think all the recipients for the first board have been chosen, they just haven't all been alerted yet?
