Do the Marines conduct a separate board from the Navy or is it the same board? Thanks.

    Marine ROTC Boards

My understanding is that the Marines conduct their own review boards. Unlike the Navy, however, they only meet twice a year - once in the fall and again during the winter/spring. I believe the fall board is meeting very soon, maybe even this week. Perhaps someone else will confirm this.

    Marine Option board

We were told by son's scholarship coordinator that the marine option board for the fall meets in November.

Marine options are reviewed by a separate board. November in the fall and February in late winter. My son was notified of his scholarship by his recruiter in late March 2008. The letter from Pensacola came in April.

At the time he applied (Jan 2008) I heard there was a third board, but was never able to verify it.
