I have followed this forum for all of its great advice but just now posting. We found out this morning our son was awarded a NROTC scholarship to Marquette. We are thrilled beyond belief. We only have one concern, and I can't find any information on this. Is there a minimum weight requirement for the physical exam? My son is very healthy, but also very skinny, just like many of our male relatives at that age. He is 72 inches and 128 with all of his clothes on. Will this be an issue?

It appears from what my research shows, the minimum weight chart for NROTC should be the same as the chart to enlist (cross ref some older forum posts with current charts to enlist). At 72", min weight is 131, can be waived to 118. They will need to make sure no medical issues causing the applicant to be underweight. Hope this helps.. Eat a big meal before the physical..

    Congratulations to your DS.

I saw the same standards that proudofmyboy reported. Best of luck.
