Hello, I was wondering if anyone has received news regarding their NROTC Nurse Option scholarship application. I turned mine in in January before the deadline and completely finished interviews and paperwork and everything and now I am just waiting to hear something back. My recruiter told me that it shouldn't be much longer and the board meets once a month or something but I am constantly checking the status of my application on Netfocus. Does ANYONE have ANY idea about how much longer it will be before I receive a decision?

I don't know how long, but you could be waiting until early April for a response. Also, I do not believe the NROTC Nursing boards meet once a month. Regular Navy option boards do meet that often, but it's my understanding that there are only two boards for the nursing scholarship. They are entirely separate from the Navy option boards and are staffed by entirely different personnel. It certainly made sense to me when I heard that as I doubt the same folks picking future SWO types would be as good at picking future nurses.

I've had my Navy Nurse option application in to NSTC in Pensacola since July and have not heard anything at all. It's been a long waiting game but I really hope we'll be hearing something soon. Good luck!
