If I could/knew how, I would link you to the thread I started a little less than a year ago. There are some users that were really helpful on it. I think if you search NROTC Nurse Option you can find it. I applied for the scholarship last year and did not receive it. I am currently in the process of joining my chosen college's AROTC unit, as a nursing major:biggrin:. The NROTC Nurse Option scholarship is very selective, so you may want to explore the other branches as well.

DD has applied for the Navy Nurse Option this year. We have heard that the number of scholarships offered this year will be reduced significantly. Also, have heard that the option to enter as a College Programmer may not be an option in the future.

We haven't seen this in writing but are making sure that a plan B will be in place if this does indeed happen.

Thanks for the help everyone! I was aware that the scholarship was very selective I heard that there is only around 30 scholarships being given out this year. I do have a plan B (college program if still available). And if that doesn't work out I will try to get a direct commission after college. Again thanks for the help and good luck with AROTC!
