    Greetings.

A few weeks ago I was luckily contacted by my local NROTC counselor (or whatever you call those guys), and I was able to finish my application by last Friday. I thought I was done, and then I got an email from the application website, saying that I needed to have an Officer Interview in order to complete the application. When is that interview due? I've temporarily lost contact with my NROTC counselor, and I don't want to miss any deadlines (better safe, than sorry).

    Thanks!

My Navy Recruiter told me before I submitted my application that I needed to have an interview and he told me the available times to go in and have it. What has made you lose contact with your recruiter? Do you have his business card with his phone number and/or email? If anything, try to go to your local recruiting station and ask when you can have the interview for your NROTC application and they should be able to guide you in the right direction to get it taken care of. Mine was done at my local recruiting office where they all work at and I would safely assume yours would be too. The interview doesn't have a "due date" per se, but it is a part of the application process so like you said before, you can't submit without the application! Try to have it done ASAP because the sooner the better even though all applications aren't due until January! Good luck!

^ Ignore the January due date. Any due date given is the last possible date you can submit an application and by that date many scholarships have already been given out. Get in touch with someone to try to set it up ASAP. As I recell, they will contact you but you don't want to rely on my old feeble memory.

And if you speak to the local recruiter, beware they don't try to talk you into enlisting. Seriously.

Actually the due date is indeed January 31, 2014 (CST), as stated on the NROTC website. But like both kinnem and I said, have it done ASAP for that exact reason he so kindly pointed out, most scholarships have already been given out. The sooner the better! Best of luck, rebelforhim!
