NROTC scholarship craziness

Hmmm, I've had that page with everything on it including schools and SAT scores for at least a month now. I actually have a friend in the navy officer corps and he used to work in this department. Had a friend look at my app and was told it was done, looked good, and would be going before the board. Looked at dodmerb and my application status page and no change :thumbdown:. Maybe I got passed over on this board too or maybe just havnt heard yet. Between academies, dodmerb and this scholarship...biggest test of my patience ever bar none.
 
Son has had that page also for about a month. This past week it changed to read "The NSTC Selection/Placement Office "has your package. From what others have said it is thought that until your page states this it actually hasnt been reviewed yet.
 
Armydad is glad college isn't going to cost him $$$. Very happy either way.

Daughter opted only for navy & army rotc. She attended academy summer camps & decided she'd rather not do academy life either.
 
Nursing Corp Selection

Does anyone know if there is a seperate review board for those going into the Nursing Corp, or is it all the same selection board for all NROTC applicants? Thanks.

Do you mean it finally changed from this:
The NSTC Selection/Placement Office has received your application.
to the NSTC Selection/Placement has your package?

My son's has had the statement with schools listed and SAT info for months. Everything was in late Oct early Nov and from reading these post I thought he was just being passed over on each board. Does this mean his paperwork has not gone in front of the board and there is still hope:thumb:
 
"The NSTC Selection/Placement Office has received your application". This was the last change that occured on my sons page back in Jan. Many others have guessed until that statement appears you package hasnt been reviewed., but no one knows for sure.

I don't have an answer for you, but I can tell you that my daughter (NROTC Nursing Option) received her decision in December at the same time as the other NROTC award winners.

Status Page Changed

OK now the status page changed to say no decision has been made but lists the schools on the application and other ancillary information. Checked DODMERB and nothing listed for NROTC. Based on what I have read his packet is going before the board on the next round. I suppose it is this week. How long since the status change until DODMERB gets updated to reflect his NROTC application Status as in process? Anyone that has been through this before know?

nrotc will only show up on DoDMERB if he is awarded a scholarship. They do not request a physical nor a review of his physical until the scholarship is awarded. Good Luck!
