Is there a physical exam that is required for an NROTC scholarship? Is it the same as the USNA's CFA?

I don't think Navy Option applicants are required to take a physical fitness test any more, but here is the criteria they must meet once in school, or if I'm wrong and they still take the physical fitness test: http://www.nrotc.navy.mil/pdfs/pre-conditioning.pdf

The scoring can be found towards the bottom of the document.

Marine Options ARE required to take a much more demanding physical fitness test as part of their application submission. You can find the scoring by searching online.

Of course both must pass a DoDMERB physical examination prior to contracting. This normally occurs after the scholarship is awarded and the scholarship is dependent on passing this exam or getting a waiver for any disqualifying condition found.

the Marine Option scholarship candidates are required to do pullups (untimed), crunches, and 3 mile run. pullups are 5 pts a piece with a min of 3 and max of 20. crunches are 1pt per crunch, max being 100 (off the top of my head idk the min). the max time for run (ie to get 100pts) is 18:00 or less, and the minimum time to pass is 27:00. also keep in mind a Marine (likely an NCO) will be conducting the test, so it will be up to their standards

Thanks for the responses. I'm applying to the Navy Option, so I guess I don't have to do an exam for the application.
