I'm new to this forum, but I applied for the 2013 NRTOC Scholarship. My questions is when I send it out and it goes to the board and what not, who is it that actually says "yes," "no," "2-year," "4-year," etc? How do they determine which host units accept me under scholarship or does the host unit get to have a say?

From my questions, you can probably conclude I'm still waiting...I hate it, but I'm checking 10 times a day! :p

    Thank you!

I'm pretty sure that the unit you are selected for, if awarded a scholarship, is based on the availability of the unit. As far as who says "yes" or "no", that is up to the board which is in Pensacola. Not sure who the board consists of, others can comment on that.

Saying "The board" is a good enough answer for me :p I was just curious how much weight the unit had on the decision. So if the board in Pensacola says 2 year scholarship, all of the units for which I applied will either say yes or for the 2 year also and based on availability? Or could one unit give me 4 year and one unit give me 2 year?
