Thank you! The snow plow made it down our street yesterday......about half an hour after my son and I finished digging out the driveway. I suppose you can guess where they pushed the snow from the street? That's great, Aglages!
The snow plow finally came down our street, so we'll be back to stalking the mail lady this afternoon.
That's just wrong! You could have lied to those of us less fortunate than yourself. It's a gorgeous 65 degrees in Houston....
My daughter recieved her NROTC and AROTC offers in today's mail. Good news....she was assigned to her first choice NROTC unit. The Navy is looking better!
I can't imagine why not. If you apply to a school that is not on your initial NROTC list (which by-the-way doesn't exist anymore) and are accepted, the worse the Navy can say is no when you try to transfer the scholarship. According to the booklet (pages 7 & 8) if the schools you want the scholarship transferred to are full, you automatically are added to the "wait list" for that unit and are NOT removed you from the unit that you were originally granted a scholarship. You can be "wait listed" at up to three schools simultaneously. Can't see the downside to applying to other schools at this point (other than potential application costs). So basically should you apply to more than the 5 just in case and then request a school change.
Just received my NROTC offer today for Virgina Tech! I had the pleasure of getting an Air Force one on Saturday. This has been the best Christmas ever! I can reiterate how much help these forums have been to me in the past few years even if I have not made my voice heard too much :biggrin. Now I can relax and wait until the appointments start coming out; hopefully ill be getting one!
I have a scenario that I would like to run by you. With a NROTC scholarship to Duke in hand. Let say your not accepted into Duke or none of the school on you list of 5 at that point could you transfer the scholarship to a school on the list of NROTC schools but not 1 of your 5. So basically should you apply to more than the 5 just in case and then request a school change. I hope you can make heads or tails from this. Thanks
Thanks to NROTCDAD55 for the following:
