Ft Schuyler grad ('87) Scott Kelly is set to go to the International Space Station for a year this week, which will be a new American Record for longest individual stay in space. A good friend of mine (retired Army Col and USMA grad Jeff Williams- a veteran of two space station stays himself and who is scheduled to command the ISS in 2016 ) has described it for me up there & I do not believe that I could hack a year up there- I would be far loonier than I am now! Kelly BTW is the twin brother of retired astroanut and USMMA '87 grad Mark Kelly. Good luck Capt Kelly on your mission- and thanks- you are a great advertisement for the versatility of a Ft Schuyler education!
