Just curious. When I watch the YouTube videos, the appointees taking the oath are wearing civies. But, when I read the forums, I've seen we take the oath the day after arrival, so won't we be in uniform?

You do take an oath of some sort in civies at the start of inprocessing, then you take the well known oath (I, (state your name) having been appointed a cadet...). I remember doing the first one but not what it was.

They are the same. The one you do on the first day is the one in the video from the cnet guy. There, you fill out the paperwork. The one the next day is ceremonial.
