They're actually starting to mail them today and are planning to be done by Monday.

So will candidates who applied get a letter - either way - by next week?

Yes...all AIM applicants should receive a notification letter by May 15th.

No...we do not maintain a wait list for AIM, we intentionally accept more than 165 per session anticipating a small number of declines.

I wasnt accepted into the AIM program but I was accepted into the academy. So if you dont recieve an acceptance into AIM, then dont let your hopes down and keep trying your best

Over 2,100 online applications were received and ~1,500 submitted the online essays and required supplemental forms.

AIM 2008: 1,800 online applications; 1,400 complete packages
AIM 2007: 1,600 online applications; 1,100 complete packages
AIM 2006: 1,600 online applications; 1,100 complete packages
AIM 2005: 1,200 online applications; 1,000 complete packages

So we've obviously done a much better job of marketing/advertising the program in recent years.
